Helpful Tips for Our Youth Learning Center Guests
Advance reservations for Saturday and Sunday may be made in person, from 3:30pm to 4:30pm one day prior.
On busy weekends and holidays plan to get to the mountain early, between 8:00 and 8:30am
Registration is from 8:30 to 9:15am in the Snowsports Learning Center.
Parents are urged to arrive on time with your children ready for equipment fitting from 8:30 to 9:30am, classes start promptly at 10:00am.
Classes end between 3:20 and 3:30pm. All children must be picked up by 3:30pm. Your child can keep their equipment until 4:20 p.m. This is a great opportunity for them to show you what they’ve learned! All equipment must be returned to the Youth Center no later than 4:30pm!
We make learning to ski fun for the kids. Children will learn new skills while in a safe and encouraging environment. We DO NOT force children to perform.
Children will be placed into classes first according to their age and ability recorded by the parent on the registration form. Then, when the children are out on the snow the instructors may move them to higher or lower level classes according to their ability.
Observe your child in his/her class from afar; don't get close enough to cause a distraction to your child or the class.
Clothing should be warm and water resistant. Dress in a couple of layers so you can adjust to changes in weather and temperatures.
When it is extremely cold on the mountain due to temperature or wind chill, classes will take frequent breaks. Hot chocolate, while in the program, is on us!
On sunny days, use sunscreen and protective eyewear. Goggles are best when it’s snowing or snowmaking is in progress.
All Children MUST BE COMPLETELY POTTY TRAINED, NO DIAPERS, NO PULL-UPS, And NO ASSITANCE!
Please remember that one parent must remain on the mountain while a child is in any program or should be reachable by phone in case of an emergency.
Children that cry excessively will be brought inside and must be picked up by the parents.
