Fall is Here

Press Release Date: Sep-24-2008

Fall is here and the cool mornings keep on coming. For many of us around here, the thoughts of getting out on the slopes and schussing down the hill are ever present. It has been said by a number of folks lately that “I cannot wait until ski season.”

The lift crew has been hanging new chairs on the Oz lift as that upgrade is close to completion. Some pictures of that work have been put up on this page. Another crew has been busy painting our High Speed Quad lift as we get closer to the day when snow making will begin. We plan to begin our snowmaking in November whenever significant cold weather arrives, and that is getting closer every day.

One of our friends has created a neat scene in the breezeway where you pass through going from the ski slopes over to the new tubing area.

Another reminder: it is not too late to start preparing for the ski and snowboard season with some pre-season training. There several resources available for ideas about training for skiing and snowboarding, one of which is www.adventuresportsonline.com/preseasontrips.htm. Be sure to consult a physician before taking on a strenuous training program, but being in good condition when you ski or snowboard can help prevent muscle soreness and injury, and it can make for a more enjoyable experience.
